Good news ✨✨☀️📅 April 23-25, 2024📍 Accra, GhanaYouth for Adaptation Finance Initiative, an initiative of ACSEA Organization and Pan African Climate Justice Alliance PACJA will be present at #DRIF24.We are very happy to announce that we will be at the eleventh edition of the Digital Rights and Inclusion Forum which will take place this year in Ghana. From combating online censorship to promoting digital culture, we are gearing up for a dynamic exchange of ideas. We will talk about how today we can use artificial intelligence for the energy transition, how the digital rights of climate activists can be protected and many other topics. One of the highlights of the forum is the publication of the report on the state of digital rights and inclusion in Africa - Londa. The annual report is an advocacy tool to engage with different stakeholders in the relevant countries, and serves as a benchmark to measure performance, providing critical recommendations for improving the digital space. The theme of this year edition is: "Promoting Rights and Inclusion in the Digital Era." Don't miss this opportunity to engage with leading experts, policymakers, activists, and changemakers as we work together to shape a more inclusive and equitable digital future for all.#DRIF24 #FosteringRightsAndInclusion#Londa #F4F #PACJA #ACSEA #Morethandoubleadaptationfinance #Yofafa #FAFA

I am in Lusaka, Zambia, for the 5th African Youth SDGs Summit, which has the theme "ATTAINING THE SDGs THROUGH YOUTH INNOVATION AND FINANCING FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA." A key takeaway from yesterday was that the summit stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of African youth, who are architects of a brighter future for our continent and innovation is a key enabler, #AYSDGs #SDGs #YouthInnovation

#CDD promotes #youth #debate on Mozambique's 48 years of independence, in the City of #Nampula. As part of the project *Civil Society Actions for Social Cohesion in Northern Mozambique*, the CDD promoted this Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the Office in the city of Nampula, a debate on the theme: 48 YEARS OF ( IN)DEPENDENCE: PERSPECTIVES AND CHALLENGES OF MOZAMBICAN YOUTH. The objective of the event was to engage and awaken young people to participate in the life of the country as fundamental actors in the promotion of positive structural changes and transformations for the Development of Mozambique. The debate was attended by #Youth, among them #students, #academics, #journalists and #social #activists, who left their feelings around the 48 years of independence, their perspectives and challenges. However, the need to bear in mind was stressed that #independence is a continuous struggle and cannot, at any time, be considered as a finished process, essentially due to the way in which #Democracy is conducted in the country”. The Social Cohesion Project is implemented by the CDD, in consortium with the MASC Foundation and IESE, with financial support from the Swiss Embassy.

Day 2 of the African Youth Sustainable development goals was great ,met up with Kasapo Manda country director Zambia 2ndDoor and Diana Amabelle N.the director of programs LEAP Africa .Some insights and my takeaways where:1.Governments throughout Africa have been deliberate about creating policies that may improve the livelihoods of people and help in the attainment of SDGs by 2030.However the youth have to do the research and communicate through the right channels in order for them get access to the tools required for SDGs attainment.2.The United Nations and other NGOs with different specific objectives are there to help Governments in situations where Governments reach and impact may be limited.Youth are called upon to reach out out and Collaborate with these organizations in order for us to attain the SDGs.3.Only pragmatic deliberate action from the youth and young people who constitute over 80% of the continent’s population will result in the change we want to see.4.As a youth we should research, network and take action for any meaningful change to be made.#unitednations #undp #sdgs2030 #AYSDGS

Key take-aways from the Nampost stakeholder event held at the Country Club last evening (Keynote speaker Daniel Silke):- The world is facing a "polycrisis". Inflation, elevating interest rates, war, slow economic growth, demographic challenges. But not all bad.- Africa has huge potential to develop: Young population, huge urbanisation potential, minerals, infrastructure investment etc.- African leaders face colossal challenge to avoid being influenced by foreign interests in ways that are detrimental to the continent. This interference is likely to only increase in the coming decades.- Clear, transparent and accountable governance is critical for African economic development.- Abundant opportunities are available from intra-African trade for economic growth and diversification.#nampost #africa #growth #opportunities #development

🌐🗳️ Every concern is valid, and it's the state's duty to make voting as accessible as possible. Yet, let's also ask what we can do for our country, not just what our country can do for us. Let's engage, participate, and contribute to building a better nation together.🗳️🔐#namibianeedsme #strenghteningdemocraticparticipation #nextgeneration #NNM #namyouth4change#init2gether #futureleaders #educateyourself #namibiamycountry #youthadvocacy#democracy4namibia #iplaymypart #mydutytovote #iwillvote #embraceyourcivicrights #namibiaDisclaimer: The Namibia Needs Me Project is funded by the EU.
